Payment for private knife making lessons on:

June 15 & 16

- Please arrive for your lesson at 10am and plan on spending the whole day with us (8hrs). We generally work for a couple hours at a time with short breaks in between, and then take a slightly longer break for lunch.  If you know you will need to leave by a certain time be sure to let us know so that the instructor can help facilitate that.

- We never know how quickly each student will work, however a full day class will typically finish by 6 or 7 pm.  If you need to be out earlier than that please let us know in advance and we will do our best to move things along more quickly.

- You will get to design your own blade (with some guidance). Please think about what you may want to make ahead of time. We will be working with 1/4” steel 

- Please remember to bring a lunch as we do not provide one for you, as well as some snacks and plenty of water or other beverages.

- We do not use central heat or air in the workshop, so please come prepared for the weather.

- We still have a few construction projects going on at the property where the shop is. One of those is a bathroom facility, so for now we have a portajohn available for you.

- We require you to wear close toed shoes, preferably leather boots and non-flammable (i.e. high cotton content clothing), as well as safety glasses if you don’t already wear glasses. We recommend long pants, but do not require it. We also recommend that you bring a respirator or particulate filtering face mask to wear when grinding.
